"The Wedding Dress" - Virginia Ellis

5/14/2005 This book is about three sisters, two who lost their husbands and parents in the Civil War. One fears she may never marry because most of the men died in the war. The other two sisters make a pact to make sure she marries, and even make a wedding dress for her. Before one husband died, he set up an agreement with his friend that if anything happened to him, he would go to his wife and bring her his wedding ring. This book won the Readers Choice Award at the Hunter Library.
